Aboriginal Client & Community Support OfficerAboriginal Services UnitLocation Mount DruittEmployment type Temporary - 6 month (possibility of ongoing)Salary Clerk Grade - $84,659 pa - $92,701 pa (plus employer''s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)This is an Aboriginal Identified role. Make a real difference.This role is about walking alongside Aboriginal people and communities with respect, care and cultural strength.We''re looking for an Aboriginal person who understands community, values relationships, and wants to support mob when they''re navigating the court system. You don''t need to be an expert in courts what matters most is your cultural knowledge, your connection to community, and your ability to support people in a calm, respectful and practical way.If you care about helping people, building trust, and strengthening outcomes for Aboriginal families, this role offers meaningful work every day.Your roleAs an Aboriginal Client & Community Support Officer, you''ll provide culturally safe support to Aboriginal clients and communities engaging with the court.You''ll be a trusted presence someone people can talk to, ask questions of, and feel comfortable with. You''ll also support Aboriginal-focused projects and community activities that aim to improve access, understanding, and outcomes for mob.What you''ll doIn this role, you will:Support Aboriginal clients and community members with culturally safe, respectful customer serviceHelp people understand processes and feel supported when attending courtSupport Aboriginal-led projects, programs and community initiativesBuild and maintain strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal communities, service providers and other stakeholdersCommunicate and work collaboratively with internal and external partners to support positive outcomes for clients and communityAssist with reports, records, data and project coordinationPromote services and programs in a way that is culturally appropriate and community-focusedWork as part of a supportive Aboriginal Services team that values culture, connection and respectWhat we''re looking forThis role would suit you if you:Are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with strong community connectionsHave a genuine commitment to supporting mob and strengthening community outcomesAre comfortable working with people from different backgrounds and life experiencesHave strong customer service skills and a respectful, caring approachCommunicate clearly and confidently, both face-to-face and in writingAre organised, reliable and able to manage information accuratelyEnjoy working as part of a team and supporting othersA current driver''s licence is required, and some travel may be involved.Download therole description.Identified role informationThis is an Aboriginal Identified position, which means being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine requirement of the role under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.There are two alternatives to confirming your Aboriginality, one of which must be uploaded to be considered for the role as follows.
