Legal Officer

Legal Officer Australian Submarine Agency Salary range: A$159,803.00/yr A$167,660.00/yr We are seeking an experienced and high performing EL 2 lawyer with a background in commercial law and/or administrative law. Your responsibilities include overseeing junior lawyers, providing timely tailored legal advice, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities: Provide strategic legal advice on commercial and administrative law matters. Mentor and develop junior lawyers. Engage with stakeholders across government and industry. Qualifications and Ideal Candidate: Experience providing timely, tailored, strategic legal advice in commercial and/or administrative law. Demonstrated high quality trusted legal services and client expectations. Broad awareness of Australias defence environment. Expertise in mentoring junior lawyers. Strong communication and influence skills. Location: Canberra; also considered candidates from Adelaide or Perth. Flexible/On-site arrangement with potential limited remote work.
