About the role: We are seeking a Head of Safety & Risk to provide direction and leadership across the Group to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of all workers and operational worksites. This position manages the Group risk register and leads the HSEQ function, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards related to health, safety, environmental protection and quality management within ISGroup and provide continuous growth and capability within the HSEQ team. Key responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the Group to deliver engaging training programs and awareness initiatives that instill a deep commitment to safety and compliance within all teams Lead and mentor the HSEQ team to deliver functional support to the Group''s operations Build effective relationships with managers and the Group Executive Team to ensure high-level understanding of HSEQ obligations, needs and issues related to building a strong safety culture Support managers by providing technical support, advice and assistance on safety and risk management Communicate legislative requirements affecting ISGroup''s diverse businesses and communicate changes effectively Ensure HSEQ programs, policies and processes are compliant with legislative and contractual requirements Accountable for maintaining ISO certification (45001 & 9001) across ISGroup companies Implement, and maintain the ISGroup''s Safety Management System Framework Oversee injury and incident reporting ensuring accuracy and timely reporting using the Group''s incident management system Youll thrive in our team if you have: Knowledge of and ability to interpret relevant legislation (including applicable acts, regulations, standards and codes of practice) Expert knowledge of contemporary safety issues and best practices, coupled with a deep understanding of statutory framework governing safety and risk Demonstrated ability to provide expert guidance to senior leaders on all WHS issues Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate in a confident and positive manner Analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills, able to devise solutions that balance competing risk and compliance requirements with organisational objectives Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce high level, detailed reports, policies, processes and documentation Highly proficient planning and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise Key requirements: Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or other relevant related discipline Construction White Card (CPCWHS1001) What we can offer you: We can offer you competitive remuneration, flexibility and opportunities for professional development in an exciting time of growth and expansion.
