The company is an industry leader in value creation, supported by robust safety standards, superior execution and technical proficiency.Your impactReporting to the Manager, Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) for Newmonts Tanami Mine Operations in the position of Lead, Facilities Management you will plan and execute site accommodation village infrastructure, catering, janitorial requirements, site access, transport and logistics services and provide leadership to a small team of direct reports in service delivery excellence.As part of our team you willBe responsible for compliance to Newmont standards and objectives and regulatory requirements for all related NPI activitiesEnsure employee and community expectations for a safe, healthy and positive experience are met and/or exceededPropose and deploy activities that maximise costeffective management of assets within budget and in collaboration with site, leadership and community stakeholdersConduct regular infield monitoring, assessment and review of contractor and vendor performance and maintain relevant records i.e. inspection, observation and auditing reportsIdentify and address risks associated with allocation of site/accommodation village access and escape as neededProvide visible safety leadership and commit to a positive workplace cultureMentor, support and guide a small team of direct reports.Prerequisites for your success in the roleDegree qualification in Business, Logistics, Facilities Management or relatedExtensive NPIrelated mining industry exposure i.e. site village accommodation and facilities maintenance, transport and logistics management, workforce mobilisation schedulingPrevious hospitality industry experience with understanding of food safety requirementsSkills in supplier and vendor contract management including budgeting and reportingSound knowledge of mining industry safety, environmental and health standards and regulatory frameworksProficient skills in MS Office and SAP softwareFull and unrestricted eligibility for employment in Australia.Your work environmentNewmont has fully owned and operated the Tanami mine since 2002. The mine operates in the remote Tanami Desert of Australia. The mine and plant are located on Aboriginal freehold land that is owned by the Warlpiri people and managed on their behalf by Central Desert Aboriginal Lands Trust. Tanami is a flyinflyout operation in one of Australias most remote locations.
