Direct message the job poster from ALRA | Australias Leading Recruitment AgencyOverviewAs a Senior Sustainability Consultant Infrastructure, youll take the lead in shaping sustainability outcomes across Western Australias most transformative projects. Acting as the 2IC to the WA Sustainability Lead, youll guide local delivery, mentor juniors and represent the business across the states key infrastructure programs.This role blends strategy, delivery, and leadership. Youll partner with Main Roads WA and other major agencies to embed sustainability from the earliest design stages through to construction - ensuring that environmental, social and carbon goals arent just tick-boxes, but built into how projects are delivered.The RoleDay to day, youll take ownership of sustainability delivery across WA infrastructure projects while linking into the wider national team for consistency and support.Lead sustainability delivery across major road, port and rail projects in WA, with collaboration across QLD and NSW.Act as the Perth sustainability lead: mentoring juniors, coordinating projects, and engaging directly with clients.Manage ISCA (Infrastructure Sustainability Council) processes, from management plans to verifier engagement.Apply systems thinking and ISO14001-based management approaches to improve project delivery.Work closely with experts in carbon, climate resilience, circular economy and social value to integrate holistic outcomes.Support business development - preparing proposals and representing the team at client meetings and industry events.Produce technically robust reports and submissions with strong attention to detail in writing, formatting and presentation.Who Youll Work With / Culture FitYoull be joining a national sustainability and climate team that genuinely collaborates - where subject matter experts across carbon, resilience and circular economy bring different strengths to the table.Locally, youll work closely with junior sustainability consultants who are hungry to learn and need a senior presence in Perth to guide, review and develop their work.The culture is grounded and professional, but human focused on delivering quality outcomes and empowering people to take ownership.ExperienceISAP accreditation (or ability to gain it quickly).10+ years in sustainability or environmental consulting for infrastructure projects.Experience with ISCA frameworks, management systems, and client engagement.Perth-based, confident operating autonomously and engaging directly with clients.Salary & PerksHybrid working environment and flexible start/finishNational sustainability network + strong internal career growth pathwaysIf youre interested in this position, please dont hesitate to hit Apply or contact me for further information.
