Salary: $79,589 $118,063 Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA)St Marys School is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern East.St Marys School is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at St Marys School.We are currently seeking a full time classroom teacher for a middle or upper class to commence in Term 4, 2025.Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.Nurture each students development and relationship with GodModel and bear witness to the Catholic faithCommit to create communities of learning which engage our students with a Catholic faith that is filled with life, hope and meaning within a diverse contextPromote the Wellbeing and engagement of all students, demonstrating and modelling a growth mindset and resilient behaviours in line with the school cornerstonesProvide a safe environment and support the schools commitment to a zero tolerance of abuse of any kindBuild and value partnerships with parents and the wider communityUse the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and Renewed RE curriculum to provide opportunities for deep learning across curriculum boundaries, engaging students in collaboration, critical thinking, communication and creativityUse data to inform the learning and teaching cycle and differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all students at all timesProvide continuous and accurate feedback to learnersReflect on their own practice, using the AITSL framework, and document, monitor and peer review personal goals to support ongoing learningUse digital technologies in a safe and innovative wayWork collaboratively across the school communitySupport the vision and mission of St Marys School, and demonstrate proactive practices to support the implementation of the School Improvement Plan and Annual Action PlansDemonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement, and utilise evidence based learning approachesDisplay a commitment to building a contemporary learning environment founded in the principles of the MACS 2030: Vision for InstructionBe passionate about using authentic purpose to inspire and drive integrated units of inquiry and STEM that transcend the traditional boundaries of the classroomDemonstrate professional practice and behaviour according to the VIT Standards of Professional Practice, the Victorian Teaching Profession Code of Conduct and the AITSL FrameworkSkills/Experience required:Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.A strong commitment to Catholic education.An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.An eagerness to learn.An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.Special Requirements:St Marys School promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
