About the role Exciting opportunity for a Production Resource Scheduler to join Loy Yangs Mine Production team. We aim to be the best and most reliable supplier of brown coal in Australia. To achieve this, the Mine must continue to be a competitive, reliable, high quality and timely supplier of brown coal to its customers. Working closely with the Production Support Group (PSG) you will play a key role in ensuring that we achieve this objective. As a Production Resource Scheduler, you will be responsible for resource planning and scheduling of Production Support Group personnel to effectively achieve the Mine plan while navigating the management of key production & field support activities. What youll be doing Develop schedules that allow for all activities necessary to meet the Production Plan requirements and in accordance with safety, cost and time considerations. Review, update and maintain the relevant Works Management System (WMS). Ensure all work tasks are recorded in the WMS for reporting, analysis and tracking purposes. Provide effective project management of capital and operational works, where required. Develop mine resource plans that effectively utilise the Production Sections resources. Perform daily reviews of the mine systems with the shift of the day and agree action plans and responsibilities for issues identified. Manage budget items relevant to the role. About You You will have proven resource planning and scheduling skills in a heavy industrial or mining environment. Your conceptual and reasoning skills will enable you to demonstrate commitment to HSE and risk management practices within the site. What you bring to the table Demonstrated ability to create strategies and solve problems. The ability to develop plans/schedules and the ability to communicate the plans/schedules to stakeholders. Well-developed numerical and spatial reasoning skills as well as a high level of computer literacy. Sufficient analytical skills to diagnose and investigate technical problems and assist in providing solutions. Well-developed management practices in respect to planning, prioritising, resourcing and monitoring of production work. Possess and maintain a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
