In this role you will ensure effective supervision and enhance the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders. This is achieved by creating and implementing personalised programs, aiming to equip prisoners with the essential skills and support needed for a successful reintegration into society and to reduce the chances of reoffending.Primary accountabilities of the Correctional Manager, Offender DevelopmentLead, manage and oversee the provision of centrebased assessment, reintegration, rehabilitation, psychological, education, pastoral care, cultural services and meaningful activities to prisoners, ensuring these services are effectively delivered and meet the needs of prisoners.Participate in suicide prevention efforts within the correctional centre including the oversight and coordination of observation and risk assessments, including prisoners mental health by overseeing the psychological teams and implementing appropriate interventions to mitigate the risk of selfharm.Lead collaborative relationships and networks with other centre stakeholders, such as Queensland Health, to ensure relationships for information sharing and continuity of care occur.Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as correctional staff, community organisations, and support services (e.g., contracted service providers, volunteers), to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to offender rehabilitation and reintegration.Provide concise, informative, and timely briefings to the Superintendent, including the exchange of information between agencies to maximise the protection of the community in a timely manner.Contribute to the dynamic security of the #J-18808-Ljbffr
