Safety Advisor

The opportunity As a Senior Safety Advisor (fixedterm, 24month) you will help maintain a safe, reliable and costeffective transmission network across Gladstone, Biloela and Rockhampton regions. You will provide practical, solutionsfocused safety support to construction, operations and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with legislation and supporting risk management. Responsibilities Partner closely with frontline teams and leaders to embed effective safety practices into daytoday operations. Provide advice on legislative compliance and risk management, support the application of safety systems and controls, and ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently. Maintain a strong field presence, proactively identify hazards, support risk mitigation, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Participate in audit and assurance activities, support incident responses and event learning, and help develop safety systems and processes. Qualifications & Experience Degreelevel qualification in safety studies or equivalent experience with significant practical experience. Formal internal audit qualifications (e.g. ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001) and experience delivering HSE audits. CertificateIV or above in environmental or safety studies. Experience supporting construction, infrastructure or operational environments with solid knowledge of safety legislation, risk management and safety systems. Strong communication skills, ability to build relationships, influence others, manage competing priorities and deliver highquality outcomes.
