The Role The purpose of the Safety Advisor role is to provide health and safety expertise across the environment, and to assist in the achievement of the site wide target of Zero Harm. Provide health and safety expertise to support site leadership and work teams in achieving the Zero Harm objectiveMonitor and ensure compliance with HSE standards, legislation, safe work systems, procedures, and site rules through regular workplace inspections.Proactively identify hazards and risks, promote incident prevention initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance and work practices.Lead and support workplace investigations, including ICAM investigations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely close-out of actions.Coach, influence, and support supervisors and employees to strengthen safety behaviours, risk management capability, and operating discipline.Build strong working relationships across departments and with regulators to resolve safety issues effectively and support site-wide safety objectives. What Youll Bring You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance cultureCert IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent), with practical experience applying health and safety principles in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments.Proven ability to influence, coach, and mentor leaders and frontline teams to embed positive safety behaviours and effective risk management practices.Hands-on experience conducting workplace inspections, hygiene monitoring (or willingness to obtain certification), and leading incident and ICAM investigations through to effective close-out.Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration across departments and with external regulators to drive continuous improvement. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
