Our convergence security approach includes Cash In Transit (CIT) and Protective Security Services: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, and Security Governance. Due to the growth of our business, we are seeking dynamic leadership in Townsville. We are looking for an experienced Security Operations Supervisor or Manager to oversee operations and drive profitable growth. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who excels in both operational efficiency and business expansion. The Role: As the Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing security operations and performing some CIT services during weekday shifts. Additionally, you will spearhead business development efforts to expand the client base, ensuring the profitability of the territory. Key Responsibilities: Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations, including performing Cash In Transit (CIT) services, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure the security of personnel, clients, and assets. Optimize operational efficiency by managing costs while maintaining service quality across both locations. Supervise a small team of security officers, providing hands-on leadership to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Business Development: Identify and capitalize on business opportunities within the region to expand the client base and increase market share. Foster relationships with existing clients and explore opportunities to cross-sell additional Protective Security solutions. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and service gaps, aligning business development strategies with regional market demands. Actively participate in tenders and proposals, particularly targeting large contracts (e.g., government, hospitals, retail, transport, hospitality, accommodation, and commercial sites). Leadership and Administration: Lead, mentor, and support security staff, ensuring high performance and operational consistency. Collaborate with the head office to ensure accurate operational and financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance tracking. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Provide strategic leadership, implementing continuous improvement processes to enhance service delivery across the regions. Requirements What We''re Looking For: Proven leadership: Experience managing multi-site security operations, including Cash In Transit (CIT) services. Business growth mindset: Demonstrated success in identifying business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and expanding client portfolios. Operational expertise: Strong understanding of security regulations and compliance standards. Client relationship management: Ability to maintain and grow long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and service retention. Problem-solving and decision-making: A proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment, capable of making key decisions that balance operational needs and business growth. Qualifications & Licenses: Security Guard Employee Weapons License (Mandatory to have or obtain and maintain for armed guard CIT work) Security Providers License with Cash In Transit and other relevant functions Manual Driver''s License Certificate III, IV, diploma, or higher education in Security/Risk or Business Management fields First Aid/CPR Other relevant qualifications and licenses may be required, although they are not mandatory if you are eligible to obtain them later.
