As a permanent full-time member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in the management and preservation of our natural landscapes.Key Responsibilities:Conducting tree assessments and surveys to evaluate their health, stability, and risk factors.Providing expert advice on tree care, preservation, and management practices.Developing and implementing arboricultural plans to ensure the sustainable management of trees within our jurisdiction.Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to address tree-related issues and provide technical guidance.Main TasksUndertake regular site visits to assess the condition of trees and identify any potential hazards.Prepare detailed reports outlining findings from tree assessments and recommending appropriate actions.Advise on the selection, planting, maintenance, and removal of trees in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Assist in the development of policies and guidelines related to arboricultural matters within the Great Ocean Road Authority''s area of responsibility.About youYoure not just technically strong youre a strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture.The successful candidate will possess a relevant qualification in arboriculture or forestry, along with proven experience in conducting arboricultural assessments and providing expert advice.
