Posted Sunday 24 August 2025 at 2:00 pmJob Title: Gold Class ManagerJob Scope: A hands on role managing the day-to-day operations of the Gold Class location. The role requires the efficient delivery of food and beverage through superior guest service as well as ensuring training requirements for staff are achieved.Key AccountabilitiesOperational Responsibility for Gold ClassMonitor and enhance guest service activities of the locationOperation of kitchen and bar facilities and service counter areasOrdering of stock in conjunction with Food and Beverage Supervisor/Manager and in linewith PAR levelsMaintain adequate levels of stockReceipt of goods; liaise with suppliers on quality issuesEnsure Gold Class presentation is to company standardImplementation and maintenance of food and beverage systemsLiaise with (State) Sales Executive regarding eventsProvide a safe work environment by ensuring all team members have knowledge of safetyequipment and emergency procedures and by facilitating safe work behaviorsEnsure all equipment and log books are updatedEnsure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to required company standard and to HACCP standardsEnsure the correct implementation of core range, promotions, new product lines and initiatives, as directed by National F&B Operations Manager/ General ManagerRecipe adherence and product qualityEnsure practices relating to responsible service of alcohol are adhered toHouse policy is followedEnsure Gold Class is open/closed according to procedures and on timeEnsure that the areas surrounding Gold Class and the Gold Class lounge are clean and tidy at alltimes and supervise and/or conduct regular checks of these areasEnsure that all equipment in Gold Class is operating effectively, is clean and presentable, and serviced as per requirementsEnsure that all procedures are followed as required by TAKE1 Act 7 and complete auditchecklists accordinglyMaintain up to date Senior First Aid CertificationAssist in Team ManagementEffectively manage priorities and commitments as well as manage other staff where necessaryTraining of all staff in TAKE 1 Act 7 and on correct operating procedures and policies and makerecommendations to the General Manager and Regional Trainer in terms of staff training needs.Train and motivate team members as part of the Gold Class Management and Events teamProvide leadership to team members. Give clear directions and instructions to staff on shift to maintainsmooth running of Gold ClassEnsure all teams product knowledge is to an acceptable level.Acknowledge and reward good performance and nurture career development of staff by conducting regularperformance appraisals in conjunction with General Manager.Participate (in a lead role when asked) in staff meetingsCommunicate product knowledge effectivelyRevenue and Financial Responsibility for Gold ClassAssist in meeting revenue and expense budgets for location for Gold ClassMaximise sales through process and product knowledgeAssist in maximising revenue and yield per patron in Gold ClassEnsure accurate, efficient cash handling and audit procedures are carried outMaintain COGS at appropriate level as indicated by the companyEnter and review supplier invoices, credit notes and petty cash dockets weeklyComplete weekly stock takes, analyse and solve all stock related issues.Tracking and analysis of wastage and ullageCommunicate stocktake results with management and F&B Manager (where applicable)An excellent knowledge of gross profit %, COGS and sales mixEnsure all reports are forwarded to relevant departmentsGuest FocusMaintain a high focus on delivering quality guest service and strive to exceed this standardEnsure that employees are focused on guest expectations for the Gold Class Cinema experienceActively assist in hosting and managing the flow of guestsRespond to guest feedback regarding Gold Class ServiceGather guest feedback and identify patterns, trends and initiate actions to improve guest satisfactionand retentionCreate a dynamic, fun and welcoming environmentSales & Local Area MarketingPlanning and implementation of national based programsImplement LAM plan in conjunction with Management teamEnsure displays and merchandise are well presentedParticipate in implementation of community based activities/programsPerson SpecificationPotential - To progress F&B Manager, Duty Manager,Trainee Manger, Assistant ManagerEducation - Completion of Grade 10 English and MathsAlignment with Guiding Principles - Team Oriented, Customer Focused, Commitment to Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement and InnovationGood Interpersonal Skills/ relationship buildingStrong Analytical & Decision Making SkillsAbility to lead and develop (coach)Planning and organisingDrive for resultsExcellent Communication Skills (both oral and written)Additional Skills/Experience and Qualifications -1-3 years experience in coffee/caf or fast food service at a supervisory level involving shift workAbove average level computer literacyAppropriate kitchen and food knowledgeRSA / First AidBusiness and or hospitality qualifications an advantageCompleted cinema employee Level 3 roles and responsibilitiesFully trained in TAKE 1 and TAKE 2 #J-18808-Ljbffr
