Austagencies is a collection of Underwriting agencies and forms part of AUB Group. Austagencies is made up of 360 Underwriting, SUU, Longitude, SURA and Rubix. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Claims Technical Specialist to join us on a hybrid basis with office days being located in North Sydney.Reporting to the Claims Technical Manager, the Claims Technical Specialist is the subject matter expert responsible for the technical support, uplift and quality assurance of the Claims Team. This opportunity develops and implements a continuous improvement framework and provides specialist expertise, advice and process improvement capability to the Claims Team. The position has responsibility for providing mentoring to the Claims Team on claims management practices and policy interpretation in line with the claims strategy, as well as identifying and recommending continuous improvement initiatives designed to uplift technical claims capability.Key Responsibilities in the position would see you:Providing specialist advice and coaching on complex claims, solutions and best practices.Conducting monthly quality assurance audits in accordance with Insurer and internal requirements and review trends and results with Team Leaders.Identifying technical development gaps and opportunities and design and deliver training to address any knowledge gaps or upcoming regulatory requirements, as well as refresher training of existing processes and requirements.Building and maintaining effective relationships with all key stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning and execution at a business unit level.Acting as first point of referral for the team''s technical queries and referrals.Providing regular reporting to Head of Claims, SURA & Strata on QA and Leakage results as well as capability uplift and cost reduction opportunities.Contributing to the operation of effective management and ensure governance controls are in place to promote team members following legislative requirements and procedures.What experiences & competencies do you bring that we would like to see?Proficient understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.Advanced organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work will under pressure, establish and respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise/consult and maintain meaningful working relationships at all levels.Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.Strong coaching and mentoring skills and ability to engage, motivate and influence staff that are not direct reports.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, with potential for growth and a fantastic team & working environment.If you''re passionate about driving excellence and want to be part of a forward-thinking team, please apply today!Any offer of employment is dependent upon the satisfactory completion of background checks by AUB Group or by an external third-party on our behalf.Austagencies and AUB Group welcome all people regardless of ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, and gender identity, and we are dedicated to providing a workplace environment that supports and values diversity, inclusion and equality. #J-18808-Ljbffr
