Reporting directly to the Laboratory Section Head, the role will provide support to the Lab Manager in the daily operation of the Laboratory. The Senior Technical Officer will build professional relationships with customers and internal teams, sign concrete test reports, support Trial Mix coordination, the concrete billing process, and assist with overall compliance and productivity of the Concrete Lab.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Lab Manager in the overall operation of the Concrete Lab daily.Service customers to receive results in a timely manner.Coordinate testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations.Maintain the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements.About YouPrevious concrete laboratory testing experience.Valid NATA signatory for concrete testing.Cert IV Laboratory Techniques or relevant tertiary qualifications in science or a similar discipline.Strong understanding of reporting systems such as Qest Lab, Microsoft Excel, etc.A commitment to safety and quality knowledge of Australian and Industry standards.Strong timemanagement and organisational skills.Boral values and is committed to creating a diverse working environment and is proud to be an equalopportunity employer.
