This role is designed for someone with foundational technical knowledge who is eager to grow their expertise in AI and emerging technologies while spending approximately 60% of their time on process optimization and innovation initiatives, with the remaining 40% supporting strategic client implementations.The successful candidate will work closely with the business to identify and implement process improvements using AI and automation technologies, learning and developing these skills as a core part of the role. You''ll be instrumental in transforming how we deliver payroll solutions by embracing cutting-edge technologies to create scalable, efficient processes. This role will follow ANZ business hours and comes with a shift allowance to support the working arrangement.Day-to-day, you willTechnical Innovation & Process Improvement (60%)Take ownership of AI and automation initiatives from conception through implementationLead technical discovery sessions and champion innovative solutions across the organizationPartner with the business to identify opportunities for process improvements using AI and machine learningLearn and apply new technologies to create innovative solutions for common implementation challengesDrive the development of process automation frameworks that can be reused across multiple client implementationsBuild your expertise in AI/ML technologies while creating proof-of-concepts and pilot programsCreate technical documentation, best practices guides, and reusable implementation templatesConduct feasibility studies for AI-driven enhancements to the Definitiv platformTake initiative in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processesCollaborate with product managers to translate field insights into feature requirements and provide technical feasibility assessmentsAct as the bridge between Professional Services and Product teams, influencing product direction based on real-world implementation experienceStrategic Client Delivery (40%)Provide technical expertise for high-complexity or strategic client implementationsServe as technical escalation point for challenging implementation scenariosConduct technical workshops and training sessions for key clientsGather client feedback on technical pain points to inform product and process improvementsSupport pre-sales activities with technical demonstrations and solution architecture for enterprise clientsYour skills and experiences might also include:Minimum 5 years of technical experience in payroll systemsFoundational understanding of technical languages and modern technologiesEnthusiasm for embracing and learning AI, machine learning, and automation technologiesStrong analytical mindset with ability to identify opportunities for process improvementDeep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirementsExperience with system integration and understanding of how different platforms communicateStrong SQL skills and experience with data migration, ETL processes, and data analyticsFamiliarity with coding structures such as Python or similarDemonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to solve business problemsProven ability to collaborate with product managers to influence product direction based on technical insightsExcellent problem-solving skills with a curiosity for emerging technologiesTrack record of taking ownership of initiatives and driving them to completion independentlyAbility to provide technical leadership and influence without formal authorityWhat are we all about?The Access Group is one of the largest UK-headquartered business management software providers.
