Job Title: Communications & Events Specialist AUReports To: Marketing DirectorDepartment: MarketingPurpose of the position:As the Communications & Events Specialist AU for Birdeye Australia, you are responsible for planning and executing strategic marketing initiatives that elevate brand visibility, generate high-quality leads, and foster customer engagement across the region. You champion Birdeyes voice and campaigns in Australia, blending local execution with global strategy to drive growth and market leadership.Key Responsibilities:Event ManagementLead the strategy, planning, and execution of Australian events including industry trade shows, enterprise networking events, and webinar recordings..Manage initiatives such as the Birdeye Marketing Masterclass community, positioning Birdeye as a thought leader in AI-powered marketing.Event Innovation & Relationship BuildingProactively research new event initiatives and partnership opportunities to expand the reach, impact, and influence of Birdeye events in Australia.Build and maintain relationships with third-party organisations, venues, industry bodies, and event partners to create new opportunities for brand exposure and lead generation.Self-direct the identification and pursuit of event collaboration opportunities without requiring constant oversight.Content & CommunicationsCreate high-impact content for webinars, email campaigns, social media, sales enablement, event materials, and partner communications.Work closely with internal teams to craft clear, persuasive messaging across all customer touchpoints.Sales EnablementCollaborate with the Australian sales team to drive qualified pipeline through strategic campaigns and sales tools.Deliver co-branded marketing initiatives to support channel sales partnerships.Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with global peers to ensure campaign consistency and share best practices.Liaise with partners and industry bodies to explore co-hosted events and content opportunities.Performance & ReportingMonitor and report on marketing performance metrics, campaign effectiveness, and event ROI.Support budget planning and track spend for Australian marketing activities.Success ProfileA successful Communications & Events Specialist at Birdeye Australia will demonstrate:Deep Understanding of the Birdeye Value Proposition:Ability to grasp and internalise the specific ways Birdeye solves real problems for businesses, and to reflect this in all communications and campaigns.Intimate Knowledge of Customer Pain Points:Strong insight into the challenges business owners and marketing executives face particularly in managing their online reputation, customer experience, and lead generation and the ability to frame Birdeyes solutions in ways that resonate emotionally and practically.Clear and Persuasive Communication:Skilled in articulating complex ideas simply, ensuring that marketing communications and event messaging are sales-focused, compelling, and tailored to decision-makers motivations.Sales-Driven Marketing Instincts:An understanding that marketing activities are judged on their ability to generate measurable sales outcomes, not just brand awareness.Attention to Positioning and Language:Expertise in crafting messaging that builds credibility, urgency, and desire with attention to tone, structure, and the nuances of persuasion.Previous ExperienceTo be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:3+ years experience in a marketing communications, event coordination, or marketing specialist role, ideally within a B2B, SaaS, or technology environment.Experience planning and executing live events, webinars, or in-person workshops, including vendor management and post-event reporting.Proven track record of creating marketing content and messaging that supports lead generation and sales pipeline growth.Hands-on experience collaborating with sales teams and understanding the commercial needs of marketing initiatives.Background in working with marketing lead tracking and reporting software, specifically Salesforce.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.Experience in industries such as technology, marketing services, reputation management, customer experience, or similar fields will be highly regarded.Work LocationOur new office is located in Alexandria, Sydney, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.Diversity & InclusionAt Birdeye, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
