The BDM&C section is a national team, comprising specialists across all areas of professional services BD, marketing and comms, including client engagement, branding and design, bid management, copywriting, event strategy and planning, digital marketing and media relations. This role will support the Bids & Pursuits Manager on all public sector bids and pursuits at Hall & Wilcox, including tenders, capability statements, proposals and other pitch documents and presentations. The role will also support other tenders, capability statements and proposals as required. This position suits an established Bids / Tenders and Pursuits Advisor, or an experienced Bids / Tenders & Pursuits Coordinator ready to take a step up within a large, national law firm. The successful candidates responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Supporting, project managing and writing tenders and proposals, which may include: Working with BD & Marketing teams and partners and senior lawyers to identify opportunities to tender; Drafting, editing and proofing bid submissions, ensuring compliance and arranging submission; Leading and implementing timeline process with tender team including instructing everyone that is required to input to the tender; Transferring information collected during tender process to central documents (tender knowledge bank, credentials bible and CRM) and arranging for updating of CVs, website etc.; Working with Relationship Partners on pitching for new work from existing key firm clients, including pitching project plan and clear timeline / strategy for the client; Working with the BD & Marketing teams and partners and senior lawyers on pitching to new firm prospects; Working with the Communications and BD & Marketing teams on firm award and international directory submissions including liaising with relevant partners and corporate services teams; Updating credentials and information collected during submission process on profiles, website, CVs and the CRM; Updating profiles, website and CVs of any award wins/directory listings; Ensuring all bid content, including CVs, credentials and firm information, is updated regularly and accessible / available to all that require it; Ensuring filing of all past bids across the firm; Providing general copywriting where required; Contributing to BD, Marketing & Comms reports, as well as supporting the delivery of the BD, Marketing & Comms strategic objectives; Providing general support, when required, to the Director of the BDM&C team and the wider BDM&C team. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: At least 3 years of experience gained in a similar bids and pursuits position (legal or professional services ideal); Demonstrated experience supporting public sector tenders; Degree(s) in Law, Marketing, Business or a related qualification; Extensive experience in legal tender processes; Excellent written and communication skills; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (essential); The ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines; Strong organisational / administration skills; Proactive and strong problem-solving abilities; The ability to work autonomously and interact in a team environment; The ability to interact at all business levels.
