We offer mortgage, consumer and credit loan facilities as well as products and services within superannuation, everyday transactions, savings, term deposits and insurance.Your Role:The Settlements Officer is responsible for the timely processing of home loans including loan security documentation associated with purchases, refinances, discharges and variations. The role is also responsible for providing ongoing support to members, branches and third parties associated with the full loan process.Member Focus (60%)Demonstrate consistently the ability to meet or exceed member service level agreementsRecord interactions of items processed within our core banking systemInvestigate and escalate issues in relation to documentation, Certificate of Title, Mortgage, Loan Contracts, Guarantees, PPSR & Other loan DocumentationApply sound organisational and time management skills handling competing priorities appropriatelyMember Operations (30%)Document Preparation:Check loan documentation for completeness & accuracyPrepare Loan ContractsPrepare discharge payout figures and account closuresPrepare Break Fee quotes and correspondencePrepare Consents and legal documentation such as removal of borrowers or production of titlesFollow up on missing informationProcessing:Process construction loan drawdown/paymentsProcess all switch/variation requests within agreed upon timeframesProcess DVA/DHOAS related inquiriesCross-check all relevant documentation received as per bank process, policy & proceduresSettlements:Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to the bank''s panel solicitors, Valex, Lender, Broker Intermediaries, DVA/DHOAS, builders, contractors and government bodies to achieve a positive member experiencePrepare and send Post Settlement notifications to membersManage Settlements & Variations Group Box with all requests responded to professionally within agreed upon timeframesInstruct Panel Solicitors for all new approved mortgagesCoordinate settlement functionsExecute FHOG applications and GL reconciliationProvide feedback in relation to re-worked loans to Lender/underwriter and recordCompliance:Ensure compliance standards are metDemonstrate an understanding of the bank''s strategies, products policies and proceduresReport regularly to the Settlements Team Leader on quality and disclosure issues relating to loan filesAccurately store loan documentation in Security Packets and all sensitive material to adhere to clean desk policyPersonal Development (10%)Increase knowledge and provide value to the businessDemonstrate willingness and ability to work productively in teams and build rapport and open, constructive relations with the branch networkComplete training as requiredDemonstrate and apply the bank''s vision and goals and values in day-to-day workAbout YouTo be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:Technical SkillsIntermediate skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and databasesAn understanding of banking/financial services and productsWork ExperienceAt least 1 year experience working in property conveyancing or in a loan settlements role; legal and/or conveyancing knowledge desirableDemonstrated high customer service and relationship management skillsExperience with reading certificate of titles, loan contracts, mortgages, and other loan documentationAbility to effectively prioritise, manage deadlines and adapt to new ideas and concepts quicklyConfident, enthusiastic, motivated, works well under pressure, takes ownership and responsibility of all matters and shows exceptional attention to detailKnowledge of the mortgage process post credit approval and pre-settlementsHigh level attention to detailTeam player attitudeThe ability to work autonomouslyMember first approachOther SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDeadline and results drivenProblem SolvingAble to gather relevant information and identify key issuesAble to relate and compare data from different sourcesCan identify and interpret cause and effect relationshipsEducation & QualificationsTier 2 FSRA QualifiedBenefitsWorking with Australian Military Bank will provide you access to a great range of benefits including:Staff Banking product + Services discountsNovated Leasing options4 weeks Paid Parental + Purchased Leave optionReferral Reward ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramAnnual Flu Shot + Blood Donor LeavePolo Shirt providedService AwardsWhy UsAustralian Military Bank forms an integral part of the wider Defence community.
