So lets talk today!Job DetailsJohnson Controls Australia leverages our building technology portfolio, along with decades of building technology experience, to deliver comprehensive and best in class security solutions tailored to the unique needs of our customers.Your primary role is that of a Security Sales Business Development Manager (BDM) and will be responsible for prospecting and winning new business opportunities within your sales territory.The RoleTo support our ambitious business growth strategy within Security Systems Installation, we are looking for an experienced Security BDM to join our Security sales team.A state-based role, you will be reporting to the Director Government & Defence. You will be responsible for developing and establishing new business relationships with prospective commercial security customers, key influencers, designated vertical market targets, and strengthening our existing customer base. You are responsible for driving the first phases of a sales process from initial contact through qualification of prospective customers, costing, quotation/pricing, negotiation, and closing the sale.Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:Consistently achieve budgeted Security System Installation monthly/quarterly/annual sales for secured bookings & marginBusiness development activities to establish a solid pipeline to deliver consistent monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgetsSpend a minimum 70% of your time in the field prospecting, quoting, and closing new businessReport weekly sales pipeline, weekly forecasts & activity through SalesforceWhen required, assist with the preparation and response to complex tender responses, delivering quotes as requiredTarget new accounts through tender responses and cold calling, to maximise secured bookings and gross marginEnsuring best in class customer service, assisting with liaison and follow-up of customers as requiredUndertake face to face presentation to clients for specific service and product offeringsDevelop and deliver personal performance KPIs annuallyLicenses:Must hold a current security licensePreferably hold an NV1 clearance or must be able to obtain an NV1 clearance (applicable to Australian citizens only)Must have a valid drivers licenseQualifications & Experience RequirementsMinimum of 5 years within the Australian security industry including and not limited to security sales experienceIdeally hold certifications in Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Inner-range & C-CURETertiary Qualifications preferred: Electrical or Electronics EngineeringAdvanced Microsoft & Salesforce skillsThe ideal candidate will have:Proven track record within a security integration business and the ability to develop a BOM, costings and quotations for installation projects up to ~AUD$1mStrong knowledge of security solutions, Access Control, CCTV and Alarm solutions ability to manage a complex design & quotation processExperienced and proven track record in sales and security customer service outcomesStrong network within the commercial security industryHigh level of computer literacy including MS Word, MS Excel & SalesforceMust hold a valid driving licence and Security licenceIf operating within Defence or Government verticals, an AGSVA Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 minimum) or the ability to obtain this clearance is essentialActing with urgency and consistently delivering excellent Customer outcomes with a can do attitudeDemonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work on their own or within a team environmentCulture:Across our 14 branches in Australia, our employees enjoy working within JCA because there is a supportive diverse culture, with a highly skilled workforce, accessibility to world class leading products with opportunities for individual growth and progression.Benefits:Competitive remuneration packageOpportunity to grow your professional career with external and internal coursesSales training and personal development opportunities availableWork/life balance is a key focusPaid Volunteer programEmployee Referral programApprentice programIf you are interested in this role, please click the Apply now button.
