OverviewOur customer, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer for a 12-month contract role. This role offers exposure to a wide range of legal work, with a strong focus on corporate, commercial, and financial services matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.What Youll DoProvide clear, pragmatic legal advice on corporate, commercial, and financial services issues, with an emphasis on front-end matters.Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including distribution contracts and key commercial arrangements.Ensure compliance with the Corporations Act, competition law, and other relevant regulations.Support the business with regulatory and licensing obligations in the financial services sector.Partner with internal teams throughout ongoing integration projects.Manage multiple priorities and deliver commercially focused solutions under tight deadlines.Provide guidance on employment law matters and liaise with external counsel.What Were Looking For68+ years post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, and financial services law.Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a solutions-driven mindset.Proven front-end financial services experience with deep knowledge of the Corporations Act.Exposure to employment law, company secretarial work, or corporate governance.How to ApplyIf you are qualified, interested, and available, please send the following to the contact listed:Your updated/ most recent resume (please ensure it has your email address and phone number).An email stating how your experience relates to the requirements above.Your availability to interview next week using blocks of time.
