The Opportunity Work closely with our General Counsel to manage legal, risk, and compliance matters across the firm. This handson role gives you ownership of key workstreams, the chance to streamline processes, and the opportunity to deliver practical, commercially astute advice that enables WKs strategic goals. Please note: This is an inhouse position and is not a feeearning role. Your focus will be on supporting the business, not managing a client portfolio or billable targets. What Youll Do Contract management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including client and supplier contracts, sponsorships, software and cloud services, and leases. Lead improvements to our contracting processes to reduce turnaround times. Strategic legal support: Identify risks and opportunities early. Support transformation and innovation projects with clear, actionable advice. Risk, compliance, and governance: Maintain and enhance firmwide frameworks, insurance obligations, and operational policies. Optimise compliance platforms (including CompliSpace) and assess alternatives. Regulatory and professional standards: Monitor emerging requirements, manage conflicts and information barriers, and support governance for a legal business operating across the region. Stakeholder engagement: Build trusted relationships with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), partners, and lawyers. Embed a riskaware culture and collaborate across teams. What Youll Bring An Australian Practising Certificate and up to 3 years postadmission experience. Inhouse experience is advantageous. Strong contract law skills: exposure to risk management and regulatory frameworks is highly regarded. Working knowledge of legal professional obligations and the Australian regulatory landscape; familiarity with insurance law is a plus. Confidence to work independently within agreed parameters, with sound judgement and timely escalation of complex issues.
