We are a no smoking facility.About the roleSouth Pacific Private is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist VMO to join our team on a contract basis at our Curl Curl, NSW facility. As a Psychiatrist VMO, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional mental health care to our clients, leveraging your expertise to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatments. This is a position, offering the flexibility to balance your clinical work with other professional commitments.What you''ll be doingTo provide psychiatric care to clients admitted to South Pacific Private under your care at least weeklyMinimum weekly commitment is arranged flexibly based on clinical needs and personal availabilityResponsible for ensuring psychiatric cover for your patients while you are awayCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams weekly to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patientsMaintaining detailed and accurate client records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policiesTo support the Clinical Director and GM in providing Clinical Governance for the organisationProvides urgent pre-admission psychiatric assessments where necessaryWhat we''re looking forA medical degree with specialist qualifications in Psychiatry and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Medicare Provider Number.Minimum of 1-2 years working as a Psychiatrist, preferably in a hospital or private practice settingExcellent clinical skills, including the ability to conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop effective treatment plansStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsA commitment to delivering the highest standard of client-centred careAustralian citizenship or permanent residency requiredWhat we offerAt South Pacific Private, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching work environment for our employees.
