As a Senior Software Engineer in one of our Core Services Teams, you will be responsible for maintaining a number of services to a high standard of quality and availability. You will develop, test, maintain existing software systems and design and propose new features to address emerging challenges and customer requests. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor and optimise software products and services, ensuring high quality and performance. Own the feature lifecycle and support the team to define and refine product requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Manage individual priorities and deliverables effectively, contributing to team goals and project timelines of the wider organisation. Contribute to solution design and technical planning with product teams and other crossfunctional teams. Skills And Experience Minimum 5 years backend focused web application development in Python using Django framework with a good understanding of the Django ORM and Wagtail. Experience working with relational databases and optimising queries for performance. Experience with background tasks and queues (ideally with Celery). Experience working with frontend technologies Javascript, HTML, CSS. Good understanding of web application security and modern DevOps practices. Experience and exposure to technologies and services such as Docker, AWS / GitLab / Github, Redis / RabbitMQ, Kubernetes / HELM, Grafana / Datadog. Why Cover Genius?
