What You''ll Be Doing The Research Governance Officer (RGO) is a core position within the Research Governance Office responsible for processing research site application authorisation (SSAs). The RGO will support and report to the Research Governance Manager (RGM). Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support Research Governance. Review Site Specific Applications in relation to site authorisation of research projects, and make recommendations to the Chief Executive or delegate. Review and authorise Low & Negligible Risk SSAs (LNRSSAs). Review and provide advice to the RGM and the Chief Executive or delegate on research-related agreements. About You Appropriate tertiary qualifications, in a related field e.g. Science, Health, Law or Ethics or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience and training. Proven high level ability to work with senior researchers, academic leaders and representatives of other government and/or non-government agencies. Knowledge and understanding of the authorisation process of medical research in Australia, particularly in public hospitals in NSW.
