Engineering Tech Lead

Join our Technology team in our Sydney office as an Software Engineering Tech Lead transforming one of our critical customer facing platforms. Coming from Equifaxs significant data and technology investment, youll be delivering the transition of one of our core legacy systems from AWS to a new GCP based global platform that strengthens our data driven decision-making and AI/ML capabilities. Youll be the technical lead responsible for taking us to a best-in-class, automated, and secure platform that will further support the people, business and communities that we support.Youll have a roughly 50/50 split between hands on technical work vs leadership. Youll initially lead 2 to 3 senior engineers onshore with a larger contingent of engineers across our global teams, and youll be doing code reviews, delivering technical designs and architecture work, as well as supporting general process improvement and automation within the engineering practice.What youll doLead software engineering for a critical platform and support its transition to a new cloud environment and capability (AWS to GCP and Angular as front end)Manage a small team of senior engineers onshore as well as a larger group of offshore team membersBuild strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including product, business and sales partnersLeverage strong experience in full stack software development and public cloud like GCP and AWSEnsure compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIsFacilitate Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activityResponsible for implementation architecture decision making associated with Product features/stories, refactoring work, and EOSL choicesCreate and deliver technical presentations to internal and external technical and non-technical stakeholders communicating with clarity and precision, and present complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriateWhat experience you need 7+ years of software engineering experience in an enterprise environment (Java based preferably)Experience managing, supporting and mentoring a small team of senior engineers4+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, AzureExperience designing and developing cloud-native solutions4+ years experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructsExperience working in an agile environment with the relevant associated toolsWhat could set you apartPrevious experience understanding a complex business and engineering environment and then migrating to a new cloud platformDemonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous environments while leading software engineering for a platform or productStrong communication and presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiencesWhats in it for you?At Equifax, we are on a mission to ensure that you have the support, resources and opportunities to Power Your Possible.
