The opportunity The Director of Teaching & Learning (Primary) is a senior role with broad influence across the Primary School and meaningful contribution to whole-school (K12) strategy. With a clear focus on pedagogy and improvement, this role offers the opportunity to elevate teaching quality, strengthen learning, and embed a cohesive, evidence-informed approach. Reporting to the Head of Primary, the Director will : Provide senior leadership across the Primary School and contribute to K12 priorities and school-wide initiatives. Drive pedagogical improvement through coaching, modelling, collaborative inquiry and high-quality professional learning. Champion evidence-informed practice, drawing on research, data and high-impact instructional strategies. Strengthen curriculum design, assessment processes and the effective use of data to enhance consistency and student outcomes. Partner with leaders, teachers and families to foster a high-expectations, learner-centred culture focused on wellbeing and achievement. About you You will bring : Deep understanding of high-impact pedagogy and contemporary primary teaching practice. Experience leading teams, coaching teachers and driving capability uplift. Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and data-informed instruction. The ability to translate evidence into practical classroom application. A collaborative, intellectually curious, and improvement-focused leadership style.
