Infrastructure Partner role at University of Sydney Fulltime, 2year fixedterm position located at the Services Building (G12) on the Darlington Campus. The role offers a competitive remuneration package including 17% superannuation and flexible hybrid working arrangements, with an expectation of at least three days per week on site. Overview The University of Sydney welcomes applications for an experienced and motivated Infrastructure Partner to join the University Infrastructure (UI) team. You will represent client interests through every stage of an infrastructure projectfrom inception to completionproviding expert guidance, managing expectations, and driving effective engagement to ensure successful outcomes. Key responsibilities Lead strategic conversations with University clients to identify infrastructure needs, priorities, and aspirations. Shape infrastructure planning, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and alignment with the University''s strategic priorities. Facilitate codesign and collaborative planning sessions, embedding client perspectives in feasibility studies, business cases, and project delivery. Collaborate with service partners (e.g., Central Operations Services and ICT) to streamline processes and enhance responsiveness. Synthesise complex information to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic alignment. Prepare briefing papers, reports, and presentations for governance committees and senior leadership. Monitor engagement outcomes, implement feedbackdriven improvements, and contribute to performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster strong relationships across faculties, research centres, and administrative units, supporting integrated infrastructure solutions. About you Demonstrated experience in client partnering and advisory, stakeholder engagement, or strategic planning within a complex organisation. Postgraduate qualifications in project management or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience. Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to apply foresight and analysis to guide impactful decisions. Demonstrated project management skills, able to understand principles and methodologies relevant to infrastructure delivery. Technical knowledge: familiarity with infrastructure planning and delivery processes. Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable infrastructure priorities.
