Direct message the job poster from Redpath PartnersHead of Development - Renewable GenerationAn international renewable energy platform with a growing presence in Australia is seeking a Head of Development Renewable Generation to lead its national development portfolio across both generation and storage assets.The position will suit a strategic yet handson development leader who enjoys steering multidisciplinary teams, shaping project pipelines, and driving complex projects from earlystage origination through to investment readiness and financial close.The RoleProvide strategic direction and leadership across a pipeline of utilityscale renewable generation and storage projects.Lead and mentor a team of Development Managers, promoting collaboration, accountability and a culture of excellence.Oversee project prioritisation, risk management, and resource planning to ensure delivery against portfolio objectives.Guide projects through land tenure, planning and environmental approvals, and gridconnection processes.Support commercial negotiations, due diligence, and origination of new development opportunities.Partner closely with internal technical, commercial and finance teams to progress projects to readytobuild status.Represent the business with key stakeholders - including regulators, landowners, community representatives and industry bodies.About YouMinimum 10 years experience in renewable energy project development, ideally across wind, solar and/or BESS.Demonstrated track record leading largescale projects through feasibility, approvals and commercial negotiation stages.Experienced people leader with the ability to mentor highperforming teams and manage competing priorities.Deep understanding of Australian energy market frameworks, land tenure and gridconnection pathways.Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business or related discipline.This is an opportunity to play a defining leadership role in one of the markets most active international developers contributing to Australias clean energy buildout and shaping the next generation of largescale renewable and storage assets.
