Work Health and Safety Advisor $60-$70 p/hr + Super, site-based WHS Advisor, based in North Curl Curl, NSW. This role will provide site-based support for a global manufacturer on an interim basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role. Fantastic opportunity to be fully embedded as the sole WHS professional on the site, with support from the broader, established WHS team. About the Company A leading global manufacturer, this company delivers innovative solutions for infrastructure and renewables projects worldwide. With Health, Safety, Environment and Quality at the core of its operations, the business fosters a strong safety culture across sites, and throughout leadership teams. To continue driving these standards forward, they are now seeking a Work Health and Safety Advisor to provide support to one of their sites, initially on an interim basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position. About the WHS Advisor Role The successful candidate will work closely with site managers to drive engagement, proactively identify areas for improvement, and promote a strong safety culture. The position also involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance and ensure consistent safety standards. This role reports directly to the Health and Safety Manager. Duties Support and implement WHSE procedures, policies and tools across site Run site WHSE Committee meetings and coach committee members and managers as WHSE champions Conduct incident investigations, safety inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring timely closeout of actions Assist in the development and implementation of ANZ WHSE Management Systems to align with ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001 Engage with regulators (e.g. SafeWork, EPA) where required, ensuring notices or actions are escalated and resolved Design and deliver training programs to frontline operators, team leaders, and managers, embedding safe practices into daily operations Support Return-to-Work activities and liaise with rehab providers to ensure effective injury management and case closure Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and coordinate relevant training and upskilling initiatives Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a WHSE role, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or related high-risk industries Knowledge of WHS legislation and ability to implement practical safety solutions Cert IV in Work Health & Safety, or a relevant discipline (candidates without formal certification may be considered if they have relevant experience) Experience in Return-to-Work Coordination desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Culture The company has made Health & Safety a clear priority, with leadership and site teams aligned in driving standards forward.
