OverviewWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Change and Transformation team at Mercer. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Head of Risk TransformationReporting to the Change & Transformation Leader, the Risk Transformation Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the delivery of Mercer Supers Risk Transformation agenda including PMO, change enablement, related entity orchestration and Assurance. This role is instrumental in meeting regulatory commitments and enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic goals safely and sustainably.The Head of Risk Transformation is instrumental in driving a risk maturity and capability uplift across the organisation. Championing a proactive risk culture that is transparent, inclusive, and aligned with organisational values, managed as an intrinsic part of day-to-day operations.The Risk Transformation Lead will drive collaboration with initiative leads, program stakeholders, and project managers to oversee the development and execution of comprehensive program plans, milestones, and deliverables. In addition to standard PMO responsibilities, this role will provide oversight of external assurance and regulator engagement activities and ensure the effective monitoring, planning, and timely response.12-month fixed term contractWe will count on you to:Lead the Program Management Office (PMO/Hub) for the Program, defining its structure, processes, and governance framework.Develop and implement program governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and effective program management practices.Collaborate with program stakeholders to develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Establish mechanisms for tracking and controlling program progress, risks, and issues.Provide guidance and leadership to the Program Assurance Lead and Regulatory PM in responding to Assurance activities, facilitating alignment on review scope, findings, and responses.Lead the execution of the assurance strategy for the remediation program, providing strategic direction and oversight to the assurance team.Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across lines of defence (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3) to foster risk awareness and shared ownership of risk management outcomes.Lead behaviour change strategies to close gaps between current risk practices and desired future state, focusing on clarity, connection, and embedding brilliance in the organization.What you need to haveMinimum of 10 years of experience in program management, preferably within financial services.Experience in Regulatory Remediation Action Plans (preferable)Experience in program management, with a focus on PMO leadership, preferably in a complex and dynamic organisational environment.
