Join to apply for the Animation TD Technical Role (VFX) role at DNEGKey Purpose of the JobAs an Animation TD, you will work directly with the Animation Tech Supervisors, Pipeline artists, Animators, CG Supervisors, Production and various other animationlinked Department teams (like Rigging and Layout) to debug shots from Animation. To assist animators in improving their workflows and techniques, in order to create the highest calibre animated performances in the industry. Reporting directly to Animation Tech Supervisors, the Animation TDs will also closely liaise with Animation Production leadership on each show to determine weekly priorities.Job DutiesAnim TDs will help spec, develop, document and test new animation tools when opportunities arise.Anim TDs will proactively help animators debug and fix their shot''s technical issues on a show.We are looking for proactive talent with excellent communication skills, strong technical problem solving skills, with an appreciation/understanding of the creative, in order to produce highend imagery.This opportunity is geared toward talent looking to gain experience on an animated feature film; with career aspirations including Supervision, or artists in our Pipeline, Layout, CFX, FX, Lighting, or Animation departments.Must HaveExperience as either a Pipeline TD, including basic knowledge of Python and USD, or as a Technical Animator with indepth Maya knowledgeStrong experience using Maya, with basic understanding of other 3D Software packages like Houdini and Katana. An understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systemsSolid understanding of the animation department and how it fits in a wider production pipelineProficient understanding of how/why animation tools aid animation workflowsInterest in the production pipeline as a whole, with a particular emphasis on the Animation departmentAn understanding of form, texture, physical motion, weight, balance, and lightingStrong problem solving skillsAbout YouAbility to effectively communicate with animators including those with little technical knowledge as well as very technical production technology teamsOrganised, proactive, goal oriented and a selfstarterA team player and excellent communicator, with a keenness for collaborationAdaptable and willing to learn new skills and techniques including proprietary softwareCalm under pressure and committed to meet production deadlinesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at DNEG by 2x.#J-18808-Ljbffr
