About Cleaning Services The NSW Governments reforms to public sector cleaning services entail the NSW Department of Education taking over management of the states WholeofGovernment cleaning contracts from January1,2026. A team has been established to deliver an enhanced WholeofGovernment cleaning contract for alignment and delivery of all program streams, including Governance, ITD, Recruitment and Risk Management. About the role As a Senior Data Officer, you will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that shape largescale service contracts and support the growth of our new Cleaning Services Team. Youll create dashboards, track trends, and deliver recommendations that improve services and guide key decisions across the Department. Analyse data to guide service specifications, site groupings, and pricing. Create and maintain dashboards and data models. Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities from trends and stakeholder feedback. Prepare clear reports, visualisations, and briefings. Ensure data is accurate, secure, and compliant. Work with internal teams to support policy and service delivery. Help improve analytics, reporting, and data management processes. You enjoy working with dashboards, models, and reports, and can explain complex information in a way everyone can understand. Youre organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while keeping accuracy and quality front of mind. You will have: Experience analysing and visualising complex data. Skills in creating dashboards and data models that are accurate and easy to use. The ability to translate data insights into clear recommendations for different audiences. Experience managing multiple priorities in a busy environment. Knowledge of data integrity, privacy, and security standards. A curiosity for learning new tools and methods to improve data analysis and reporting. Key Knowledge and Experience Experience in data analysis, modelling, and reporting in a large or complex organisation. Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI, Excel, and other relevant data and reporting tools. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in data analytics, statistics, information management, or related discipline. Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
