Overseas on-the-ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries worldwide.About The RoleThe Sensors and Effectors team is expanding in response to increased product development demand and complexity. DroneShield is looking to recruit a Senior Electronics Technician who will work with the team to ensure DroneShield products are built to a high standard and components received from our suppliers are consistent in quality and performance.The position will report primarily to the Electronics Manager and will work closely with the other Engineering teams, Production Team, and the Operations Team. This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for technology who wants to develop their career in a fast-moving ASX listed defence technology company.Responsibilities, Duties And ExpectationsElectronics debugging, repair, rework and inspection.Building, prototyping, and testing new/existing products.Review Supplier Quality reports.Training of junior Technicians.Prepare NCR and IQC report after fault finding and inspection.Raise Quality Alerts/NCRs for the failed parts.Qualifications, Experience And SkillsMinimum Certificate II in Electronics. Minimum 10 years experience as an Electronics Technician. IPC 610 certified. Experience in repair, debugging of electronics equipment. Ability to solder electronics including 0201 sized components. Experience using electronic measurement equipment including Oscilloscopes, VNAs. Experience with Altium, Schematic and PCB layouts. Experience in a production environment. Experience with inspection equipment/CMM required. Passionate about technology and ability to understand complex technical problems so issues can be properly communicated to stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team. Respect and appreciation of process, doing the right thing even if no-one is watching. Strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle pressure. "Can do" attitude and willingness to help in variety of tasks, including occasional tasks unrelated to the core role.
