Our live auctions cater to a diverse audience, and as one of the fastest growing marketplaces, we are seeking bold, forward-thinking problem solvers across all functional areas.RoleAs a Country Marketing Manager at Whatnot, you will drive hyper-growth and help sellers expand their businesses rapidly. You will quickly understand users and communities across categories such as beauty and trading cards, developing marketing plans focused on customer acquisition and retention. Your work will include digital events on the Whatnot platform, influencer collaborations, and partnerships with sellers for engaging content.Own buyer acquisition in Australia for priority categories, creating campaigns and events to generate buzz and demandDevelop and implement social media strategies across multiple channels and platformsIdentify and pursue PR and influencer opportunities in the local marketBuild scalable resources and toolkits to help sellers market their channels and grow audiencesMeasure and optimize marketing initiatives for effectivenessNote: Team members in this role must be based in Australia.YouWe believe that success at Whatnot comes from a low ego, growth mindset, and a proactive, high-impact approach.5+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment; experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform is a plusStrong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to own strategy and content across various channelsCreative with skills in content creation and copywritingExperience tracking KPIs and evaluating marketing successAdaptable and resourceful, comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment with limited guidanceNice to HaveExperience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Creative Suite, Figma)Passion for creator communities or familiarity with Whatnots product categoriesExperience buying and selling in online marketplacesCompensation$130,000 - $180,000 AUD/year + benefits + equity. Final salary depends on experience, skills, and level.
