Job description:Rojone is seeking an experienced Fibre Optic Cable Assembly Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Ingleburn. This is a hands-on role focused on the manufacture of high-reliability fibre optic assemblies for military, aerospace, and harsh-environment applications.About the RoleYou will be responsible for the end-to-end assembly, termination, and testing of precision fibre optic cable assemblies, including tactical and expanded beam solutions used in demanding operational environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacture fibre optic cable assemblies to military and aerospace standardsTerminate and assemble single-mode and multi-mode fibre optic cablesBuild tactical fibre optic assemblies, including expanded beam connectorsPerform polishing, inspection, and testing (IL/RL, visual inspection, continuity)Read and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructionsMaintain high workmanship, quality, and cleanliness standardsTroubleshoot and rework assemblies as requiredFollow quality, safety, and documentation proceduresSkills & ExperienceProven experience in fibre optic cable assembly and terminationExperience with military, aerospace, or harsh-environment fibre assemblies highly regardedHands-on experience with tactical fibre and expanded beam connectors preferredStrong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience working to IPC, MIL, or similar standards is an advantageWhat We OfferStable, long-term position with an established Australian manufacturerInteresting and technically challenging workSupportive team environmentCompetitive remuneration based on experienceIf you are an experienced fibre optic technician looking to work on advanced and mission-critical assemblies, we''d love to hear from you.Apply now by submitting your resume to RojoneJob Types: Full-time, CasualWork Location: In person - Ingleburn.
