Our ambitionThe OpportunityDue to growth, our Sydney Trade Mark team are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join them on a full-time basis. Working hours: 9am 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, minimum 3-4 days a week in the office.We value teamwork and collaboration. While our ideal candidate will primarily work in the office, we offer flexibility to work from home up to two days per week, depending on the needs of the practice group.In this role you will play a pivotal role providing high level support to the entire Trade Marks team, comprising of senior associates, a consultant, junior lawyers and Trade Mark Administrators You will also work closely with dedicated business services professionals in our IP team and across the broader firm.Please note we are not able to consider law students for this role.What your day will look likeDelivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines, responding to changing and competing priorities.Managing a high volume of monthly billing processes including creation of pre-bills, editing, finalising and posting.Assisting the team with filing documents with IP Australia and IPONZ.Daily monitoring of and reporting on Trade Mark deadlines with WebTMS.Fortnightly reporting with Serion.Comprehensive calendar management for appointments as they may arise.Organising national and international travel.Assisting the wider Trade Marks team with any ad-hoc administrative tasks.Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email and in-person using aprofessional and personable manner.To be successful in this role you will have:At least 2 years'' Legal Assistant experience.Previous experience with end-to-end billing.Impeccable attention to detail and organisational skills.Previous experience in calendar management.A sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.Proven ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.Adaptability and ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.Ability to anticipate senior legal team requirements to reduce administrative time.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.Confidence in decision making on behalf of senior stakeholders.An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.What you can expect from usWe''re a world leading international law firm with a global team of over 6,000 professionals across 26 offices.
