You will be joining the best large in-house team of the year (Lawyers Weekly). This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact regulatory projects and work closely with a broad range of business units including product, brand &marketing, admin ops, financial advice, complaints, insurance, strategy/media, risk and compliance, and IT/Data.Reporting to the Managing Legal Counsel Regulatory Projects Lead, you will provide timely, accurate, and commercially astute legal advice on superannuation and trustee work, including project & change delivery to support the implementation regulatory change and the fund''s intended outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice to ensure compliance with the relevant laws, including the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act, Prudential Standards, Corporations Act, Cbus Trust Deed, regulatory licences, and other relevant legislation and regulatory guides.Partner with business units to support the delivery of regulatory projects and provide BAU legal advice.Assist in managing relationships with external legal providers.Contribute to the development and enhancement of legal processes and procedures.Collaborate with senior legal counsel and other team members to deliver high-quality legal services.Support the Managing Legal Counsel in supervising legal team activities and project execution.Key Selection CriteriaLegal qualification admitted to practice in an Australian jurisdiction and hold a current solicitors practising certificate.35 years PQE, preferably in superannuation, financial services, regulatory, or in-house legal environments.Solid understanding of legal frameworks relevant to superannuation and financial services.Commercially astute with sound analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, and be a "team-player".High level of professional ethics and integrity.Commitment to the values and behaviours of the organisation.About CbusCreated by workers, for workers, Cbus Super is one of Australias most successful Superannuation funds.
