Working in an Agile environment, you will lead the design and integration of scalable applications that directly support frontline emergency services. You will be responsible for ensuring high code quality and architectural integrity while mentoring a team of developers to foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.To thrive in this role, you will have:Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5+ years in professional full-stack development, with a proven track record of delivering complex applications.Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead architectural design and mentor engineering teams to uplift overall technical capability.Cloud-Native Architecture: Deep expertise in AWS serverless environments (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge) and Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.Modern Integration & Security: Strong grasp of Microservices and Event-driven design, including secure integrations via API Gateways and Identity providers (Okta/Entra ID).Full-Stack Development: Professional proficiency in React (Material UI or similar) and , utilising TypeScript across the entire stack to build scalable serverless logic.Database Management: Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases (knowledge of geospatial data extensions is a plus).AI-Augmented Development: A forward-thinking approach to software engineering, leveraging AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, or AI Agents) to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and automate repetitive workflows.DevOps: A proven track record implementing CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or equivalent.GIS Exposure: Experience or interest in Geospatial technologies (ESRI, MapBox).If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please access the Role Description and our organisation structure.Note: As per the role description, candidates are required to meet minimum essential requirements.
