About our clientOur client operates a large scale transport network across New South Wales, delivering essential services to thousands of passengers each day. As a highly regulated operator, risk management, compliance and operational governance sit at the core of the business.The finance function plays a critical role in protecting commercial integrity and strengthening systems across the network. This is a business that values accountability, structure and practical leadership. The opportunityThis role has been created to strengthen the claims function across NSW. Reporting to the General Manager Finance in NSW and working closely with the national insurance lead, this position will manage end to end motor vehicle, public liability and workers compensation claims. Beyond portfolio management, the role will establish best practice frameworks, improve documentation standards, strengthen follow up discipline and work closely with depot teams to ensure information integrity from the outset.Benefits and working arrangementsThis is a permanent full time position based in Leichhardt, Sydney.You will work directly with Finance and Fleet leadership and have visibility at a senior level.The role offers genuine influence and scope for growth. For someone motivated by turnaround impact and measurable wins, this environment provides both stability and scope.A bit about youThis role will suit a technically strong claims professional who thrives in high volume environments and who sees process discipline as fundamental to commercial protection.You are organised, proactive and comfortable following up persistently to secure complete and accurate information.You can speak the language of insurers and regulators while also translating requirements clearly to operational teams. You are confident escalating issues appropriately, holding stakeholders accountable and ensuring claims are lodged accurately the first time rather than entering cycles of rework.Most importantly, you are motivated by building structure and creating sustainable systems that improve turnaround times.Desired skills and experienceOur client is seeking demonstrated experience managing insurance claims within an insurance, self insured or transport operations environment. Exposure to motor vehicle, public liability or workers compensation claims is essential.Strong administrative discipline, diary management capability and attention to documentation integrity are critical.
