Associate Director - Recruiting Lawyers and Company Secretarial Professionals into inhouse roles at Taylor RootThe OpportunityOur client is a global distributor of life insurance products in Australia, UK and Canada.They are growing rapidly and will be launching in several new markets over the next 12-18 months.This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, ambitious Senior Legal Counsel, who is keen to move up into a General Counsel role, with significant scope to impact the direction and success of a growing international business.In this key role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and strategic advice on all commercial matters affecting the global life insurance distribution business.There will also be scope to build out a legal team in due course.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide broad legal support across corporate transactions, commercial agreements (such as leases, IT contracts and privacy matters), and strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment with the business risk appetite.Play a key role in strategic transactions, supporting the business in capital raisings, M&A activity, international expansion plans and other business initiatives.Advise the Board and exec team on governance frameworks, statutory obligations and regulatory compliance, as well as managing statutory filings and facilitating the running of the Board and committee meetings/ operations.Work closely with senior stakeholders to mitigate legal and regulatory risks across multiple jurisdictions.Liaise with external counsel to oversee the management of any dispute matters.Shape and embed a high performing, proactive, and commercially focused legal function within a dynamic, growth oriented international enterprise.Ideal CandidateAdmitted as a Solicitor in Australia or New Zealand10-15 years PAE with broad generalist experience covering commercial, corporate, governance and risk management matters.Experience working in financial services, ideally life insurance would be highly desirable.You will be a strong problem solver, with a pragmatic approach.Able to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.If you are interested in applying for this role, please send your CV to Olivia Courtney, by emailing [email protected] or call 0292369015. #J-18808-Ljbffr
