SBS hiring for Indigenous audio and language content chief

OverviewSBS Radio is recruiting for a content lead specifically for Indigenous audio and language material, to be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Under the head of language content, the Indigenous lead for audio and language will oversee the development of new material recorded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages. They will also collaborate with NITV Radio and various content creators to further grow the SBS Indigenous Content Strategy and firm up compliance to the Audio and Language Content divisions RAP Elevate plan, while mentoring new staff. The position is open to media practitioners of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. They must have a strong record of building content catering to First Nations audiences and have successfully collaborated with other Indigenous media staff. ResponsibilitiesOversee the development of Indigenous audio and language material and related content initiatives.Collaborate with NITV Radio and other content creators to grow SBS Indigenous Content Strategy and ensure RAP Elevate plan compliance.Mentor and guide new staff and support team development.
