The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day ownership of the APAC payroll function. They will ensure the preparation and execution of all payrolls across APAC are processed correctly, on time and that all tax/legal requirements are adhered to within the deadlines. In addition, the role shall identify and implement changes to current processes for the payroll function which will improve service levels, accountability and accuracy across the region.ResponsibilitiesReview and approval of all payrolls within each of the APAC countries (Including but not limited to Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore) prior to release to the Employees to ensure accuracyPreparation of annual reports for audit and annual statutory reportingProvide financial and analytical support to the Senior Finance DirectorPerforming ad hoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocationDevelop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issuesSOX compliance preparation and managementReview and enhancement of processes within the payroll functionWhat Will Help You SucceedMinimum of 5 years experience in leading a large regional payroll function with specific expertise in APAC countries for payroll, tax and statutory compliance requirementsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groupsSelf-starter with the ability to work with limited supervisionExcellent customer service skillsNetSuite experience is desirableGood conceptual ability, communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent analysis/problem solving skillsAdvanced Excel SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills required; must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization and in every region in which we operate.Ability to work under pressure and multi-task while exhibiting strong interpersonal skills.AttributesCustomer Focus: Investigates and takes action to identify and meet partners and customers current and future needs.
