Knitted by Red Cross volunteers/supporters all over Australia, these woolen teddies are given freely to children and adults needing comfort or gentle distraction during traumatic events. The Trauma Teddies are delivered to local hospital wards, school sick bays, fire stations, ambulances, police stations and emergency centres.The OpportunityRed Cross Trauma Teddy Knitters will knit cuddly teddy bears according to Red Cross safety specifications and guidelines. They will receive ongoing support to knit the teddies if required. The ImpactAs a Trauma Teddy Knitter, you''ll be contributing with your excellent knitting skills to knit cuddly teddies with safe and clean materials following the Red Cross safety specifications, guidelines and pattern which will be delivered to vulnerable children and adults to comfort them, ultimately impacting on their well-being.
