The role leads original, innovative and impactful research that strengthens the University''s standing as a national and global leader.Working strategically and autonomously, the Principal Research Fellow drives high-impact research programs, fosters a culture of excellence, mentors emerging academics and research students, and builds strong external partnerships that deliver translational outcomes across research, policy and practice.Your key responsibilities will be to:maintain a national or international reputation for academic excellence through independent and innovative research contributionsmaintain a strong research profile, including publication in peer-reviewed international journals and outputs recognised under excellence in research australia (era)lead major research initiatives, including internationally funded and partner-engaged research projectslead and manage successful competitive research grants and pursue diversified funding opportunitiesmaintain quality, standards and excellence across all research activities and outputsprovide mentoring, supervision and research development opportunities to lower-level academics and research studentsmake an outstanding contribution to research, governance and administrative activities of the school or faculty, including participation in university committeesundertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.About youa doctorate or phd in a relevant fieldpostgraduate qualifications in a relevant disciplineextensive experience conducting original research and engaging in scholarly activitya recognised national or international reputation supported by a strong research profileextensive experience supervising and mentoring academic staff and research studentsa wide and established network of academic, industry and professional partnershipsdemonstrated strategic thinking, leadership capability and sound judgement in complex environmentsexcellent communication, organisational and presentation skills.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
