Credit Officer

OverviewBased at our North Ryde office, the Credit Officer is responsible for day-to-day management of a portfolio of customers, taking full responsibility for their own ledger and escalating issues to the Credit Team Leader as appropriate. The Credit Officer will ensure effective management of Borals credit risk and cash flow, ensuring timely and accurate collections and allocations. The role includes identifying and participating in continuous improvements in credit processes, procedures and credit systems, with an emphasis on good risk management and process improvement. Success depends on developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesCollection of overdue monies, including maintaining collection records, account reconciliation, daily payment allocation, and reviewing credit limits; actioning accounts that exceed credit limitsFollow up and resolution of customer queries and issues as they arise, with escalation as appropriateMasterfile maintenance including activation and de-activation of accounts and updating customer dataProviding accurate and timely reports on credit performance and exposure to the business as requiredIdentify and report on credit related issues in a timely fashion for process improvementIdentify and report process gaps and participate in continuous improvement opportunitiesQualificationsProven ability and demonstrated experience in credit collectionsDemonstrated experience in developing effective working relationships with internal and external customers including Senior Management across multiple business units with differing needsExperience working as part of a collaborative and supportive teamIn-depth experience in Oracle/SAP Financial Modules and/or equivalent systemsHighly developed written communication and oral presentation skillsProficient in MS Excel and WordWhats on offerEmployment stability permanent, full-time positionFriendly team, competitive remuneration, free parking & close to North Ryde MetroCareer progression opportunities within BoralWe are Australian-owned and operatedOpportunity to purchase additional leaveGenerous paid parental leave entitlementSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance and SalesIndustriesConstruction #J-18808-Ljbffr
