Each team member plays an integral role in shaping the culture and success of our group.The General Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring our venues operate at the highest level while aligning with the overall vision and values of the group.Position SummaryThe General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and strategic execution of the Goodies Groups operations. This includes oversight of all venues and department heads, ensuring alignment across teams and delivery of best-in-market experiences. The GM reports directly to the Owners and leads a team of senior managers, each overseeing a core area of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead a cohesive and values-driven team across multiple venues and departments.Translate the Owners vision into structured strategic and operational plans.Foster alignment between FOH, kitchen, beverage, events, and guest experience departmentsChampion the Goodies brand and culture, maintaining excellence across all areas.Operations & ComplianceOversee all venue operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and consistency.Work directly with Restaurant Managers, the Executive Group Chef, and Beverage leadership to maintain high performance.Ensure smooth coordination of large bookings and private events via the Reservations & Events ManagerMaintain compliance with licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety, and employment law.People & CultureBuild and support a high-performance leadership team through ongoing development and mentorship.Conduct regular 1:1s, appraisals, and structured performance reviews with department heads.Promote an inclusive, growth-minded culture with clear expectations and accountability.Ensure accurate, on-time payroll and timesheet approval processes across the group.Financial ManagementMonitor and manage group-wide financial performance, focusing on both labour and COGs.Support cost control initiatives and supplier negotiations with the Executive Group Chef and Beverage leadership.Conduct weekly financial reviews with managers and chefs.Oversee weekly P&L check-ins, payroll submissions, and financial reporting from all venues.Guest Experience & BrandMaintain a high and consistent standard of guest experience across all venues.Monitor customer feedback and online review trends; ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.Collaborate with the Group Sommelier and Group Beverage Manager to uphold leading drinks and wine programs.Guide the Reservations & Events Manager in ensuring a premium events experience, from inquiry through execution.Owner Liaison & Strategic PlanningProvide structured updates to Owners covering financial performance, team dynamics, and growth initiatives.Collaborate closely with the Owners on new venue planning, innovation, and long-term strategy.Represent the groups interests in all day-to-day operations and external engagements.Key Skills & AttributesStrong experience in a similar leadership role across multiple sites or departments - note hospitality experience whilst highly regarded is not crucial for this role.Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and develop othersDeep understanding of both operational and guest experience driversHigh financial literacy and data-informed decision makerCalm, solutions-oriented, and hands-on approachExcellent problem solving abiltiesPassion for hospitality, quality, and team cultureIf you are an experience leader / GM with a proven track record looking for your next step then please apply.
