This pivotal leadership position is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day delivery of credit, insurance, and customer service operations across Australia and New Zealand.Reporting to the Senior General Manager, you will lead a portfolio covering credit risk, underwriting, collections, customer experience, and operational compliance. Youll work closely with the executive team to shape business strategy, uplift service standards, streamline processes, and drive digital transformation. This role requires someone who brings strong commercial acumen, an ability to work within global policy frameworks, and a hands-on leadership style that balances structure with adaptability.The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading high-performing teams, confident in managing regulatory obligations (including APRA and ASIC requirements), and capable of navigating the complexities of working with an international parent company. This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering operational excellence, driving change, and influencing outcomes across a broad stakeholder network.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and lead all aspects of credit risk, customer experience, compliance, and business process optimisation.Drive continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiativesOversee credit risk frameworks, underwriting policies, collections, and arrears managementChampion customer experience and service delivery excellenceBuild and develop high-performing teams and future leaders with a strong culture of accountability and serviceEnsure compliance with APRA, ASIC, and responsible lending obligationsLead governance, controls, and corporate policy adherence, representing the business in regulatory and industry forumsReport on operational performance, risk, and strategy to senior stakeholdersPartner with the executive team on strategic initiatives, including acquisitions and overseas stakeholder engagementWhat Youll Bring10+ years experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership roleProven experience managing credit risk, underwriting, and collections performanceStrategic thinking combined with hands-on leadership capabilitiesStrong knowledge of consumer credit laws, responsible lending practices, and compliance frameworks.Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including regulators, partners, and parent companiesA track record of driving business transformation and leading large teamsExperience working with or reporting to international parent companies is preferredExperience in motor finance, asset-backed lending, or captive finance is a definite advantageBachelor''s degree in Business, Finance or related discipline (MBA desirable)This high-visibility, hands-on role will give you the autonomy to lead change, shape operational culture, and influence local and global strategy.Some interstate and occasional international travel is required for the role.Apply online or contact Helen Kyriakou or Jimena Hurtado on1300 833 383 for a confidential discussion.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
