ACS is a co-educational school catering for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, with an enrolment of over 1,400 students.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join Assyrian Christian Schools at Horsley Park. In this role, you will lead financial management, human resources, and daily operations. Working closely with the CEO and Senior Executive team, you will ensure effective resource management, regulatory compliance, and strong support for the school community. This position presents a valuable opportunity for a qualified finance professional to make a lasting impact on our schools future success.What you''ll be doingOversee all financial aspects of the organisation, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and regulatory complianceProvide strategic financial advice to the senior leadership team and Board of DirectorsDevelop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure financial stability and growthLead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvementCollaborate with other departments to support decision-making and drive operational efficiencyEnsure the organisation maintains a strong financial position and meets all regulatory and compliance requirementsWhat we''re looking forProven experience as a Chief Financial Officer or in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within the education or not-for-profit sectorTertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a professional accounting certification (CA or CPA)Excellent financial management skills, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecastingDemonstrated ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholdersStrategic mindset with the ability to align financial strategy with the organisation''s overall goals and objectivesStrong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a finance teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levelsWhat we offerAt Assyrian Christian Schools'', we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers our employees to thrive.
