Manager Collection OperationsLaw Enforcement Conduct CommissionOngoing | Grade 11/12 | Sydney CBD basedAre you looking for a role that:contributes to public confidence in the integrity of law enforcement agencies in NSW; andutilises your excellent analytical, research, investigative and teamwork skills?If so, then this is your opportunity to join the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) an independent investigative commission established to provide oversight of the NSW Police Force and NSW Crime Commission. About Us The LECC independently monitors and reviews the investigation of complaints by the NSWPF and the NSWCC about the conduct of their officers. In doing so the LECC recognises the primary responsibility of those agencies to investigate and prevent officer misconduct and corruption within those agencies, while providing for oversight of those functions. The LECC also undertakes independent, real-time monitoring of critical incident investigations undertaken by the NSWPF and can make reports on the conduct of critical incident investigations by the NSWPF.The LECC plays a key role in strengthening the integrity of law enforcement in NSW.Why join us?At the LECC, we are committed to strengthening the integrity of law enforcement in NSW, by working collaboratively with the NSW Police Force and the NSW Crime Commission to educate and promote the prevention and elimination of officer misconduct.Find out more about us atAbout the roleThe Manager Collection Operations leads and manages the lawful collection and analysis of electronic evidence under warrant in support of LECC criminal investigations and assists the Director Electronic Collection & IT in ensuring agency-wide compliance with electronic surveillance legislation. The role also manages technical projects to ensure that capability and systems are delivered to the required standards and in accordance with project management methodology.The LECC offers flexible working arrangements, however the Manager Collection Operations role operates within a sensitive operational environment and is expected to work onsite at the Commission''s offices in Sydney''s CBD a minimum four days per week.To be suitable for this role you will have:Highly developed communication skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to interpret legislation, with a strong knowledge of the requirements of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act (New South Wales) 1987, the Surveillance Devices Act 2004 (Cth), and the Surveillance Devices Act 2007 (NSW), or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.Ability to manage conflicting priorities and provide high service levelsOperational experience or the ability to adapt to an operational environmentAptitude for complex technical applications and systemsExperience managing and developing a high-performing teamThe relevant role description can be downloaded via the following link:Manager Collection Operations.EligibilityTo be eligible to apply for this role you must be an Australian citizen.The LECC Act 2016 (Sec 21) prohibits the appointment of current and former sworn members of the NSW Police Force or NSW Crime Commission to this role, however current and former civilian (unsworn) employees of the NSW Police Force and NSW Crime Commission may apply.Security vettingThe successful applicant will undergo a stringent security vetting process to establish reliability, trustworthiness, integrity and suitability of employment.In addition, LECC officers are also required to obtain a commonwealth security clearance, with the Manager Collection Operations requiring clearance at a NV1 classification.How to apply:If you are excited by this opportunity, we look forward to receiving your application.
